This weekend Saturday 24th July 21, we return to our pre-March 2020 Schedule which sees the following in place.

St Josephs: The Saturday evening Mass @ 18:00h, previously at St Clare’s, returns to St Joseph Saturday 24th July.

The Sunday morning Mass @ 09:30h, previously at St Clare’s, returns to St Joseph’s Sunday 25th July.

St Clare’s:    The 1130h Mass returns to St Clare’s Sunday 25th July for celebration at 11:30h.

At the time of going to print, the guidance from our Diocese regarding directives for the post lockdown period has been shared with us. It can be summed up in the statement below and is also shared on our parish website.

While most of the legal restrictions are being lifted by the government from July 19th, 2021, we are all being urged to continue to act carefully, remain cautious and exercise personal judgment to manage our own risk, and be sensitive to the concerns of others. Caution is a keyword here as we negotiate this new tricky phase of our journey.

We recommend the following in line with the best medical and scientific advice which means that we continue to build on the safety measures we have put in place over the past year.

Our Way Forward will be marked by Gradualness and Caution.

1 Continue to wear face-covering in indoor events and large gatherings.

2 Where possible continue to keep space outside family bubbles – areas in both churches are allocated for this.

3 Continue to use sanitizers

4 Use the Track and Trace system via smartphone app or fill in the slip of paper handed out by the stewards.

5 Follow the guidance of the stewards who are trained to help keep you safe.

6 Singing will return marked by gradualness and brevity. Hymnbooks will not be used.

7 The Sign of Peace will return marked by greeting without any physical contact whatsoever.

8 The Collection plate will not be handed around the hand to hand but remain as now at the entrance to be brought up by the steward at the offertory to the priest.

9 The procession for the reception of Holy Communion will be at the guidance of the stewards.
